Affirmative Action has been a cornerstone civil rights program for the advancement of Asian Americans and women in higher education. Despite its benefits and a majority of Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) supporting these programs, some Asian Americans argue that affirmative action discriminates against Chinese students from getting into Ivy League schools. In this convening, invited guests will join OCA to better understand anti-affirmative action efforts and develop a national strategy to combat such efforts.

Speaker:

  • OiYan Poon, Colorado State University

A limit of 2 representatives per chapter may RSVP for this session.
