About the Film:
Taking Root is a documentary series about Southeast Asian refugee resettlement in Philadelphia. It amplifies the intergenerational impact of structural violence and demonstrates the power of Southeast Asian refugees resisting and rebuilding in America. There will be a panel afterwards including speakers from SEAFN, VietLead, and AAU. Come to learn about Philadelphia's local Asian American organizing history and how to support the national SEARR campaign and No Arena in Chinatown.
The Southeast Asian Freedom Network, VietLead, and Asian Americans United are partnering to screen Taking Root Documentary Series to talk about the Southeast Asian Relief and Responsibility (SEARR) Campaign.
